Sick Update- part 3

Lainey:

-Fever around 101
-Bad cough
-Still eating and drinking okay; playful
-Basically seems to have a bad cold/cough; not as bad as Erik was

Erik:

-Fever is gone
-Still has bad cough
-Little more energy -- will play for 30-45 minutes at a time but if too active has coughing fits
-Still hasn't eaten anything since Tuesday at breakfast; drinking okay
-60% better I think -- much better than the "so sick all I can do is lay on your lap and cry" state he was in on Wednesday and Thursday

Since the kids are too sick to go outside I brought the outdoors in....

Erik was scheduled for a follow-up visit last night at 6:30 pm (I have the appointment card to prove it).  We showed up and the office was closed.  What??  This is the same clinic that caused this headache a few weeks ago.  I will be talking to the practice manager on Monday.  Ridiculous. 

I really like the pediatrician and feel as though Erik and Elaina received excellent care while we were there on Thursday.   It is hard to go to a medical provider that has a poorly run office though as it can really jeopardize patients care.  I am not sure what we are going to do but if the Practice Manager doesn't have a VERY good explanation as to why the clinic was closed during our scheduled visit (that was scheduled just 24 hours before) it will be the last time they see us. Sad because the physician seems excellent.
