Erik's school calls the student of the month "top dog". Erik was picked as top dog in his class for the month of October. Every month the top dogs get to eat breakfast with the principal. Erik's breakfast was a week ago. Victor was out of town and the cleaners were coming that morning. I needed to get myself showered and dressed, all 4 kids dressed and ready, plus leave the house completely picked up all by 8:15 that day. That's stretching my abilities. So we got to the top dog ceremony at 8:34 (it started at 8:30). They must have had more attendees than expected (families are invited) because by the time we got there all of the breakfast was gone!
Not wanting to leave anyone out, the kids that missed out on breakfast (apples, donuts, and juice) were called down to have breakfast in the principals conference room (instead of the cafeteria) after school started. Guess it paid to be late that morning. Ha!
